When we refer to "UKCA" or "we" or "our" or "us", we are referring to the UK Cinema Association, and representing its members, or any one member, as the context requires.

Why do we have a privacy policy?


We want you to feel comfortable about the security of your personal information when visiting the LoveCinema website.

This policy explains how we use any personal data that we collect from you, or that you provide to us.

What information is collected?

When we refer to ‘personal information’ in this policy, we mean information that can identify you as an individual. This includes – but is not limited to – a first and last name, an email address and a contact telephone number.

Information collected in this way is not linked to identifiable individuals.

Who uses the information?

When someone visits LoveCinema we collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out the number of hits and unique visitors to the different parts of the site.

We do not make any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting the LoveCinema website. We will not associate any data gathered from this site with any personally identifying information from any source. If we do want to collect personally identifiable information through the LoveCinema website, we will make it clear upfront when we collect personal information, and will explain what we intend to do with it.

How will we use the information about you?

We would like to send you information about screenings, special events, products and services of ours and other companies in our group that may be of interest to you.

If you don’t want to receive any additional communication from us, please contact us.

Access to your information and correction.

If you would like a copy of the personal information we hold about you, please contact us.

We want to make sure that your personal information is accurate and up to date. You may ask us to correct or remove information you think is inaccurate.

You have the right to ask us to remove any information about you from our systems.

You will not be charged for this service.

How long do we hold information for and why?

We hold your name, address and contact information for 3 years to help manage any queries relating to your applications.

Email correspondence history is stored for 2 years.

How do we erase it?

Electronically held information is automatically removed from our records in-line with above time frames.

Cookies.

Cookies are small harmless text files placed on your computer. They allow us to process your online applications. We also use cookies to improve the service by understanding how people use the website through the Google Website Analytics service.

Most web browsers have cookies enabled by default. If you do not enable cookies, you can still browse the website but you may not be able to submit our online contact form.
